Your assets exist to serve a purpose. We work in the space between strategic intent and tactical action, connecting your organisation's purpose to its people, assets, and systems.
Most organisations have a strategy. The problem is that day-to-day operational reality (the constraints, the history, the people, the systems) creates distance between what leadership intends and what actually happens on the ground. That gap is where performance is lost, costs blow out, and risk accumulates quietly.
The work below isn't a fixed menu. It's a map of where we typically engage. Every client is different.
We close the gap between what your operation is delivering and where it should be, improving performance for the people running it and the value for the people funding it.
When the system itself needs to change, not just how people use it. We design and guide transformation that's grounded in operational reality, not just frameworks.
Every engagement draws on deep subject matter expertise in asset management and operations. We bring the technical credibility to ask the right questions, challenge the obvious answers, and know what good looks like.
Asset data is the foundation everything else is built on. To be useful it needs to be complete, correct and correlated: all the points you need, matching the real world, linked across all systems. Without that foundation, your technology and decision making fail.
With over 15 years working inside asset-intensive operations across manufacturing, maritime, defence, resources, agribusiness and ports, I provide transformation, operations advisory, asset management and engineering services. B Eng (Hons) and MBA.
My background spans hands-on engineering and large-scale operational transformation. I have redesigned engineering and maintenance operating models for workforces exceeding 4,000 people, identified over $50M in savings across a $700M vessel maintenance program, delivered asset data remediation that reduced working capital by $2M, and reported directly to COOs on independent technical and risk reviews. The thread through all of it is the same: close the gap between what an operation should be delivering and what it actually is.
The organisations that perform best are not just well-run. They are well-connected. People understand why their assets matter, not just how to operate them. Purpose, people, assets and systems are all pulling in the same direction. That only happens when operations, maintenance, asset management and strategy are the same conversation, not separate ones.
I have spent my career sitting between two worlds. As an engineer, I would design the perfect solution, only to see it fail when it met real people, real budgets, and real timelines. As a management consultant, I learned to work with those constraints, but sometimes lost sight of what was technically possible and practically sound. StratEx exists in that middle ground.
"Assets don't just exist. They serve a purpose. Our job is to make that connection inextricable: your organisation's purpose, your people, your assets, and your systems, all pulling in the same direction."
Most advisors sit at one end of the spectrum: pure strategy, or pure execution. We work in the uncomfortable middle, where intent has to become action, and where most improvement programs quietly fail.
The most useful conversations often start with a problem that's hard to articulate. Tell us what's not working and we'll help you figure out why. No obligation, no pitch deck.
